Saving on electricity

Hello
This post is not so much about money making ventures in power but how to conserve it and reduce on yo bills.
Actually this blog is usually about better use of resources.

This link from The Standard in Kenya struck a note with me http://www.standardmedia.co.ke/mag/InsidePage.php?id=2000015402&cid=470& coz here in Uganda our bills just keep going up and yet the power is so unstable.

So try those tips for conserving electricity and saving your hard earned dimes for an entertaining candle-lit dinner or a Bujagali Falls kayaking weekend away at Jinja because BUJAGALI ENERGY LIMITED have confirmed that the expected cut off date is going to be some time in December 2010. They do not expect any futher delays. In other words: You've got 4-5 months left to

raft the legendary rapids at Bujagali Falls and 50/50 and Silverback(Big Brother) which by the way is getting even bigger and rougher in its final hours! GO BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!!!

Fixing scratched CDs

hi
am sure you have a favourite CD or DVD that has some scratches that you looooveee and cant throw away coz theres one or 2 songs you like...or just the thought of tossing it is unbearable seeing as its a "collectable".

there is hope....

and you thought eggs were just for eating.....

You could also put that toothpaste to excellent use...

I tried the toothpaste thing with vaseline....my word!!!
alot of energy....slight difference in CD quality after...but then again patience is not one of my key strengths.

Tell me which one works for you or any other that you know of.
